I was alone and made to feel very unwelcome by staff member who then seated me at a table in the middle of the room with a floor fan at full blast on me. I waited for 10 minutes to order but no one arrived despite it being obvious i wanted to order. This reinforced the feeling I was not welcome. I was assured my order would be taken but there were always other things to do. Why not take my order (10 seconds) then get on with the other jobs? I left after sitting there for 10 minutes and went across the road to a warm welcome, prompt service and lovely food.

Only place open . Went for lunch . Lovely sunny day so sat outside in the small garden at the back. Broken umbrella, very very slow service. Basic lunch menu, it all needs updating by about 20 years . Run out of baked/jacket potatoes . Oh dear. They do offer vegan and vegetarian breakfasts. Very chaotic but service charming when arrived .

Quite a disappointing afternoon lunch. Popped in for some food on our day out and was quite looking forward to a quick bite and a cup of tea. On first appearance, the place looked tidy, but after being seated, we noticed that the table wasn't the cleanest. Almost looks like after years of wiping down, the corners were always missed. Then came the wait for the food. We ordered a breakfast and a hot dog with chips, a tea and a coffee. Waited around 30 minutes for the food even though it wasn't busy. Once food arrived, I was slightly annoyed that even though I specifically asked for no mushrooms or tomatoe, they were still present on my plate. Thankfully, the server understood and fixed this promptly. It looked decent but tasted like nothing special. Further in we noticed that the condiments were far from being in any good order. The mustard that we requested for the hot dog was out of date by 2 months. The ketchup bottle looked as if it was years old and being used as a refillable container. With congealed ketchup around the lower rim of the lid with what looked to be mould growing on it. After this, we were put off our food and paid the £19.65 and left.

Wonderful little cafe in the heart of the village / town. Very reasonable price and rather welcoming staff which was a pleasant addition to our visit here. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and you can tell it is cooked with love and care.

Every so often you get surprised by a local café. This was one of those occasions. A wide ranging menu catering for all dietary types including vegan and vegetarian. Dog friendly and well laid out. Excellent coffees and cakes. The vegan and vegetarian breakfasts were spot on and the staff were just the right sort of friendly and attentive. Well worth a visit if you're in the area visiting Kidwelly Castle

Went in yesterday with my family (12 other people) and had the worst experience we’ve ever had in a food place. The owner was extremely rude especially to one particular waiter ( Tyler) He is the only one who made our visit worth it. He was very polite, caring and very respectful even when trying to juggle all tables with the owner constantly in his ear telling him what he’s doing wrong. He was trying to write down the order of one of our tables which had 6 people on and was writing on such a small pad of paper so as he went to turn the page to continue writing she said with terrible attitude ‘ No, 1 piece of paper per table’ it was disgusting watching her treat him with such disrespectful attitude. My niece also ordered the child burger which had mould on the tomato which they tried saying it was pepper even though my sister and nephew didn’t have any on their tomatoes? Even if it was pepper this should’ve been known on the menu when ordering because she could’ve been allergic!! The owner was also rude to my sister, will never be returning and will be telling family and friends to stay away whenever they’re around. Tyler deserves so much more respect than he gets because he’s the only one keeping that business going.

En : I came to the restaurant several times, in July 2022 and August 2023. The staff is very nice and attentive. The dishes are very good and well presented. Time for Tea is in the heart of Kidwelly, which is also a very beautiful town with a magnificent medieval Castle.

My partner and I visited today. He is a coeliac and was pleased to find that he was offered a separate gluten free menu with a good range of options. He chose the breakfast, which he really enjoyed. I ordered a cheese and mushroom omelette, which was delicious. The service was efficient and friendly and the food was prepared to order. We shall definitely return.

The food was nice and the place was tidy and most of the staff were friendly, the downside was even though it was fairly quiet we had to wait over half an hour for a takeout order (I dont mind that but it did seem excessive) but more importantly when ordering i asked for an extra sausage on mine and the owner lady said "so you want 3 sausages on your breakfast" it was very condescending and made me feel very uncomfortable as the tone was unpleasant, this is the same lady who upset my son the last time we came here, she had a go at him for going to the wrong door (staff area, but it was just a mistake) when he needed the bathroom and really upset him, so i will not be going to this cafe again as this lady needs to learn how to treat customers!

Awful service, waited nearly 1 hour for small breakfast. Later customer served first. Food seemed as if it was rewarmed from yesterday. Egg was hard, bacon was burnt, toast was black. Food was luke warm and coffee barely tepid. Should have realised it would be bad when I found the place empty whilst other cafe was full and bustling. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE. Complaint fell on deaf ears and not acknowledged.

At the very beginning it was easy to like this little tea room/cafe. Free parking is available in a small car park, behind the opposite row of buildings so don't let the endless double yellows put you off. The cafe itself appears to be run by locals of the younger generation and that is well worth supporting. The small negatives first; the sign was accidentally left saying "closed" and the 5 meal order didn't all arrive at once. The bathrooms could have been a little tidier, but we're by no means off-putting. Now on to the positives; the service was, at all times, courteous and friendly, especially towards the young children. The menu is made up of lots of fresh and local produce with 'traditional Welsh" breakfast, various toasted options, cakes and bakes etc. I chose poached egg on toast which I am happy to tell you, was very tasty and properly cooked, the eggs were nicely sized and choices of toasted bread was offered. Tea is served in delightful little teapots and matched the food perfectly. Prices here are very reasonable, with plenty of choice. Definitely worth another visit next time.

Excellent service and tasty food. We had 4 breakfasts (2 meat, 1 veggie and 1 gf) and it was all really lovely. Great gluten free menu too. Highly recommend. Ps. Please change your ketchup tho, it's nasty!
